  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, salt, pepper, nutmeg, allspice, and egg. Mix well and form into meatballs.
  3. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
  4. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and whisk in flour to create a roux.
  5. Gradually add beef broth while whisking to avoid lumps. Bring to a simmer until thickened.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and return cooked meatballs to the sauce, simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
