  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a sheet pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Fold in the strawberry jam.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
  10. For the frosting, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and heavy cream until smooth. Spread over the cooled cake.
