Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake Recipe

A deliciously spicy and comforting sushi bake that combines the flavors of salmon with the warmth of baked rice.

  • 2 cups sushi rice
  • 1 pound salmon fillet
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sriracha
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 sheets nori, cut into strips
  • 1 tablespoon furikake seasoning
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the sushi rice according to package instructions.
  3. While the rice is cooking, season the salmon with soy sauce, sesame oil, and sriracha. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until fully cooked.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cooked rice with mayonnaise and chopped green onions.
  5. In a baking dish, layer the rice mixture and flake the baked salmon on top.
  6. Sprinkle furikake seasoning and cheese over the salmon.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until the top is crispy and golden.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add more sriracha to the topping.
  • Serve with additional soy sauce or pickled ginger on the side.
