Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake

This Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake is a delightful and easy recipe perfect for family gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sushi rice
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 pound cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 2 sheets nori, cut into strips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  3. In a pot, combine rice and water; bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat to low and cover, cooking for 20 minutes.
  5. In a bowl, combine rice vinegar, sugar, and stir until dissolved. Add to cooked rice.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the salmon, mayonnaise, Sriracha, sesame oil, and green onions.
  7. Spread the seasoned rice evenly in a baking dish.
  8. Top with the salmon mixture, spreading evenly.
  9. Sprinkle nori strips on top and bake for 15-20 minutes.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the spiciness by adding more or less Sriracha.
  • Serve with pickled ginger and soy sauce for dipping.
