  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour and salt.
  2. Add the diced butter and mix until crumbly.
  3. Stir in ice water, a tablespoon at a time, until mixture forms a ball.
  4. Roll out dough and cut into rectangles.
  5. Mix cheese and sausage, and place on half of the rectangles.
  6. Cover with remaining rectangles and seal edges.
  7. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  8. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool before serving.
