  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the chicken broth and water. Bring to a boil.
  2. Add the shredded rotisserie chicken and frozen mixed vegetables to the pot. Reduce heat to a simmer.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the melted butter and milk until combined.
  4. Scoop spoonfuls of the dumpling mixture into the simmering broth.
  5. Cover the pot and cook for about 15 minutes, or until dumplings are fluffy and cooked through.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding herbs such as thyme or parsley to the broth.
