  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups pretzel crumbs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. In one bowl, mix flour with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. In another bowl, beat the eggs.
  5. Place pretzel crumbs in a third bowl.
  6. Coat each chicken breast in the flour mixture, dip into eggs, and then coat with pretzel crumbs.
  7. Arrange coated chicken on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  9. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, heat cream and mustard over medium heat, stirring until combined.
  10. Stir in cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.
  11. Serve the chicken hot with the sauce drizzled on top.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, broil the chicken for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
