  • 4 ripe tomatoes
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 baguette

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Dice the tomatoes and mozzarella, and chop the basil.
  3. In a bowl, combine tomatoes, mozzarella, basil, minced garlic, olive oil, and salt.
  4. Slice the baguette and place slices on a baking sheet.
  5. Toast the baguette slices in the oven until golden brown.
  6. Top each toasted slice with the tomato and mozzarella mixture.
  7. Serve immediately.
