Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped pecans.
  6. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are golden brown.
  8. Cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
