  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 package Oreo cookies, crushed

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix on medium speed for 2 minutes until well combined.
  4. Stir in boiling water, then fold in crushed Oreo cookies.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pans for 10 minutes, then remove to racks to cool completely.

Notes

  • For an extra Oreo flavor, add crushed cookies to the frosting.
  • Store leftover cake in an airtight container.
