- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 6 cups beef broth
- 12 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic; cook until softened.
- Stir in the crushed tomatoes, beef broth, broken lasagna noodles, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes or until noodles are cooked through.
- Stir in the ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, and Parmesan until melted and combined.
- Serve hot, topped with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
