Manicotti

Indulge in the creamy and comforting goodness of homemade manicotti, filled with rich cheese and smothered in marinara sauce.

  • 12 manicotti shells
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the manicotti shells according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, combine ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, mixing until well combined.
  4. Stuff the manicotti shells with the cheese mixture.
  5. Spread half of the marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Arrange the stuffed shells in the dish and top with the remaining marinara sauce.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add spinach or mushrooms to the cheese filling.
  • Let the manicotti cool for a few minutes before serving.
