Lasagna with Cottage Cheese

Enjoy a delicious and easy lasagna recipe featuring cottage cheese for a creamy twist.

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package directions; drain.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine cottage cheese, egg, oregano, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  5. Layer 3 noodles over the sauce, then half of the cottage cheese mixture, followed by a layer of marinara sauce, and a layer of mozzarella.
  6. Repeat the layers, ending with noodles and topped with remaining marinara and mozzarella.
  7. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add basil or spinach to the layers.
  • This lasagna can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge.
