A delightful and easy jambalaya recipe featuring turkey bacon and chicken ham for a unique twist on a classic dish.

  • 1 pound turkey bacon
  • 1 pound chicken ham
  • 1 cup long-grain rice
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté the onion, bell pepper, and garlic until soft.
  3. Add chicken ham and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in rice, chicken broth, diced tomatoes, Cajun seasoning, and black pepper.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and cover. Simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is cooked.
  6. Add the crispy turkey bacon on top before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding shrimp or andouille sausage.
  • Adjust the spice level by adding more or less Cajun seasoning.
