  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, parsley, and half of the Parmesan cheese.
  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Layer 3 lasagna noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, half of the ground beef, and a third of the mozzarella cheese.
  7. Repeat layers and top with remaining noodles, marinara sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  9. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • This lasagna can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge.
  • Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or mushrooms for added nutrition.
