  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly.
  4. Pour in milk and vanilla, stirring until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  6. Once cooled, slice the cake in half horizontally.
  7. Spread sliced strawberries over the bottom half of the cake.
  8. Whip the cream with powdered sugar until soft peaks form and spread over the strawberries.
  9. Place the top half of the cake back on and serve.
