Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sugar and butter until creamy.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Add red food coloring and mix until evenly distributed.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let cool before frosting.
  10. For the frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until creamy, then add powdered sugar and vanilla.
  11. Spread the cream cheese frosting over the cooled brownies.
