  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon until crispy, then chop.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat and stir in flour; cook for 1 minute.
  4. Gradually whisk in milk, stirring until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat, add cheeses, salt, pepper, and cayenne; stir until melted.
  6. Combine cheese sauce with macaroni and turkey bacon; stir until well coated.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish, top with breadcrumbs, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25 minutes.
