- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1 jar marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, eggs, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer three noodles, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, half of the ground beef, and a third of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers and finish with marinara sauce and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add chopped vegetables to the beef.
- This recipe can be made ahead and frozen.
