- 1 box white cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup strawberry or raspberry Jell-O
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 cup cold water
- 2 cups whipped topping
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- 1/2 cup pastel sprinkles
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake according to package instructions.
- While the cake is baking, dissolve the Jell-O in boiling water, then add cold water.
- Once the cake is done, let it cool for 10 minutes, then poke holes all over the cake with a fork.
- Pour the Jell-O mixture over the warm cake, allowing it to soak in.
- Let the cake cool completely before topping with whipped topping and fresh strawberries.
- Sprinkle pastel sprinkles on top and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
