  • 4 slices turkey bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, add olive oil and sauté onions, carrots, and celery until soft.
  3. Stir in the flour and cook for a minute.
  4. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly until smooth.
  5. Add shredded chicken, peas, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, and season with salt and pepper.
  6. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and let it heat through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with crumbled turkey bacon.

Notes

  • For a thicker soup, add more flour.
