  • 4 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 4 cups milk
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon, cooked and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour to make a roux.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  5. Remove from heat, and stir in cheese, turkey bacon, and seasonings until well combined.
  6. Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni and mix well.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
