Cranberry Apple Stuffing

A delightful blend of cranberries and apples creates a comforting stuffing perfect for any meal.

  • 2 cups bread cubes
  • 1 cup diced apples
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté onions and celery until softened.
  3. Add diced apples and dried cranberries, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the bread cubes, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Pour the vegetable broth over the bread mixture and stir to combine.
  6. Add the sautéed mixture to the bowl and toss until evenly mixed.
  7. Transfer to a greased baking dish and cover with foil.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some chopped nuts or herbs.
  • Can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
