  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 pie crust (bottom)
  • 1 pie crust (top)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add chicken broth and milk, stirring until thickened.
  4. Stir in chicken, carrots, peas, celery, thyme, and onion powder. Remove from heat.
  5. Pour the filling into the bottom pie crust in a pie dish.
  6. Cover with the top pie crust, seal the edges, and cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
