- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup peas
- 1/2 cup celery, diced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 pie crust (bottom)
- 1 pie crust (top)
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Add chicken broth and milk, stirring until thickened.
- Stir in chicken, carrots, peas, celery, thyme, and onion powder. Remove from heat.
- Pour the filling into the bottom pie crust in a pie dish.
- Cover with the top pie crust, seal the edges, and cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
