- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup granulated sugar (for caramel)
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for caramel)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and mix until incorporated.
- Slowly add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Press the dough into tart pans and bake for 15 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and butter for the caramel. Cook until golden brown.
