- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour and almond flour.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the almond extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until combined.
- Fold in the cherries and sliced almonds.
- Pour the batter into a greased tart pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use fresh cherries if available.
- Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
