Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour and almond flour.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the almond extract.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture until combined.
  6. Fold in the cherries and sliced almonds.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased tart pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use fresh cherries if available.
  • Serve with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
